ホテル葬・・・メモリアル・リポート（石川　元）

先日、母の喜寿のお祝いをしたホテルにて
大型葬儀の司会を担当させていただきました。
（仕事のルートが少しだけ訳ありでしたけど・・・）



会費制のお別れ会で、笑いあり拍手ありの明るいお別れ会でした。
充実したＤＶＤ放映があったので、略歴ナレーションも無し。
進行台本も準備委員の方が制作したものが用意されていたので、
ほぼその通りに進行すればよかった。
仏とは思えないような楽しい雰囲気のお別れ会になってしまったが、
それがご遺族のご希望であり、準備委員の方々を中心に
手作り感のある和やかな会になったと思う。

　

ホテルのお別れ会で常々感じることがあるのだが、
絶対的な主導権を持つべきなのは、いったい誰？
もちろんご遺族様のご希望を叶えてあげるのは当然の事だと思うが、
私が分からないのは、進行のキュー出しやら、先頭に立つ人の事だ。

　

ブライダルの場合は、本番中、主導権を握るのは、
ホテルの黒服さん（キャプテン）と決まっている。
ホテルのお別れ会には、葬儀社さんも居れば、キャプテンもいる、
準備委員もしくは世話役だとか・・・実行委員までもが会場内に勢ぞろいだ。
葬儀社さんに主導権を握って欲しいところではあるが、
慣れないホテル葬だと人の土俵で相撲を取るようなもの。
（はっきり言って、よく分からないと言うのが現状なのかもしれない）
そしてご遺族に一番精通しているのが、実行委員さんだったりする。



今回は、準備委員さんが実権を握っていたが、
進行のタイムスケジュールまでは、読みきれていない。
（全く違う職業の方だから当たり前だ）
ホテルマンも、寿には慣れているが、仏には不慣れな傾向がある。
『司令官が不在のまま、皆それぞれのイメージで（思い込みで）動いたら、
大きな落とし穴があるかもしれない』
と顔見知りの音響さんと話しをしていました。（怖い怖いと・・・）
やはり、それぞれの打ち合わせだけでなく、
余裕を持って全体ミーティングをする必要がある。
（念には念を・・ミスを防ぐための基本だと思う。）

さて、以前にもお食事付のお別れ会の場合、
歓談後に静かにして頂くのは至難の業だ
という内容のエッセイを書かせてもらいましたが、やはり難しい。

　

・・・が故人には、かわいいお孫さんがいて
Ａちゃんのピアノ演奏は何としてでも聞いて欲しかった。
ブライダルでもあるまいし・・だが、Ａちゃんに少しだけマイクを振ってみた。
（歓談中にＡちゃんと仲良くなり、答えてくれると確信があったから）
皆さん静かになり、かわいいＡちゃんに注目してくれましたよ！
（大成功）
その後の追悼の言葉では、又ガヤガヤが始まりましたけど・・・。

　

故人は、Ｔ大学で教鞭をとられ数々のデザインを残された著名な方だ。
最後の作品は、新幹線Ｎ７００系で、まもなく試運転が始まるそうです。
故人のご冥福をお祈りいたします。
